Events and Challenges

Date Published

A calendar and a trophy, in purple on a pale lilac circle.

Small, repeatable actions create more change than good intentions do, and they are considerably easier with other people doing the same thing.

Monthly challenges

Each challenge runs for a set period, connects to the check-ins in the WelfareCheckr app, and is designed to fit a working roster rather than an ideal week.

  • Sleep consistency — protecting the same wind-down across a rotating pattern.
  • One thing after every night shift — a single recovery action, repeated.
  • Movement month — built around shift length, not gym timetables.
  • Check-in streak — a minute a day, and a picture of your own patterns.

Dates we mark

R U OK? Day, World Suicide Prevention Day, Mental Health Week, National Sleep Week and the days that matter to individual services. We will list each one here with something practical attached, rather than a logo and a hashtag.

Upcoming challenges and events will appear on this page as they are confirmed.
